Tulum, Q.R. — Two beaches within the Jaguar Park of Tulum and one in the coastal hotel zone have been confirmed. Following a closed-door meeting held Friday, a source has said the three beach areas will be opened for free access.

The Friday meeting was held between Olmeca Maya Mexica Airport, Railway, Auxiliary and Related Services Group, the National Commission for Protected Natural Areas and the municipal management of the Federal Maritime Terrestrial Zone (Zofemat).
During the two hour meeting, an agreement was reached to allow free entry for municipal residents to three beaches. Two of those beaches are located within Jaguar Park and one in the hotel zone, a source has confirmed to Riviera Maya News.
Two designated beaches inside the Parque del Jaguar will be for public use with the same rules and restrictions as the other beaches, but will be free for municipal residents.
A third beach access point is being worked on near kilometer 5 of the Tulum-Boca Paila highway in the hotel zone. That too, will also be free for public use.

A document regarding the beach access points has already been signed between those involved in the closed door meeting. An exact location and date for the opening of the hotel zone beach point in the coastal area of Tulum has not yet been decided.
