Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Two women have been arrested for the aggravated illegal deprivation of liberty of a Playa del Carmen man. State Attorney General Raciel López Salazar said Bianca Estefanía “N” and Jeanra del Carmen “N” are in custody on outstanding warrants.
The women are accused of illegally holding the man on August 17 of this year inside a home on Isla Victoria Street in the Villamar 2 neighborhood. Authorities said the man, who has not been identified, went to the home to meet with Jeanra del Carmen “N” for a prearranged sexual service.
The second woman, Bianca Estefanía “N”, was also in the home. Authorities said she threatened the man with a knife while demanding payment of 1,000 pesos for the service, 500 pesos for the use of the room and 900 pesos more for the right to enter the house.
Police said when the victim tried to leave, both women blocked his path, “telling him he couldn’t go anywhere without paying.” Moments later, two armed men arrived at the house demanding 20,000 pesos.
The victim was held nearly an hour at gunpoint while the group took his personal information from his cell phone. He was released, at which time, he filed a police report.
López Salazar said both women were taken into custody from Zapote Street in the Misión Villamar subdivision. Both are facing charges of aggravated illegal deprivation of liberty.
