Tulum, Q.R. — A taxi driver was found dead on the side of the highway in the municipality of Tulum. Police were called to kilometer 12.5 where the taxi was found near the Los Árboles housing development.
According to preliminary information, the driver was attacked inside his cab early Sunday morning. He is believed to have been driving at the time of the attack.
The taxi driver’s identity and possible motive for the attack have not been officially released. Police have not commented on any details surrounding the discovery of the cab or how the driver died.
