Patrolling officers were driving along Pok Ta Pok Avenue when they saw three men forcing another into a blue vehicle. Upon seeing the patrol unit, the victim began yelling to police for help.
Police proceeded to arrest all three who have since been charged with illegal deprivation of liberty.
In a briefing, the State Attorney General (FGE) said “after providing the corresponding evidence, the State Attorney General’s Office obtained the order to proceed to trial for three men for their probable participation in acts possibly constituting the crime of illegal deprivation of personal liberty to the detriment of a victim of American nationality.”
In custody are Francisco Javier “N”, Eduardo Alberto “N” and Juan Carlos “N”, who were arrested by agents of the Investigation Police on April 22 of this year, on Pok Ta Pok Avenue, in the Cancun Hotel Zone.
