Cancun, Q.R. — A recent arrest has lead police to a suspect they say is connected to Cancun city murders. Police said Wednesday that Luis Salomón “N” has been charged with one count of murder and five counts of attempted murder.
Luis Salomón “N” is also accused of belonging to a criminal group and shooting up the outside of Cancun businesses.
On Wednesday, the State Attorney General (FGE) said Luis Salomón “N”, alias “El Pato” and/or “420”, has been charged with aggravated homicide to the detriment of one person and attempted homicide to the detriment of five victims.
According to the FGE, the shooting happened on August 16 of this year in an establishment located in Supermanzana 228 of Cancun. They said Luis Salomón “N” has been identified as the likely perpetrator of the attack.
Initial investigations link Luis Salomón “N” to a criminal group involved in drug dealing in various areas of the city. He is also accused of carrying out armed attacks against members of rival groups, as well as against restaurants and bars, including those that occurred on August 16 of this year and December 27, 2025, in superblocks 228 and 230, respectively, authorities said.
Luis Salomón “N” was arrested along with Daniel de Jesús “N”, alias “Venmo”, and Saraí Janeth “N” near a residence in Supermanzana 239 during the execution of a search warrant carried out by Investigation Police.
Since his arrest, police have connected him to numerous crimes around Cancun. All three are also facing drug dealing and weapons charges.
