Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A public Playa del Carmen school teacher has been arrested for child corruption. Police say Rubén “N”, a secondary school teacher, was taken into custody Thursday from the school he worked at.
Rubén “N” was arrested after allegedly giving candy to three female students. The candy caused them to pass out.

Parents who arrived at the school to pick up their kids Thursday night from afternoon classes were notified of the incident.
According to preliminary data, the students were found intoxicated around 5:00 p.m. after being given the candy. Angry parents called police who arrived and arrested the teacher from the school.

Paramedics were also called. The three young girls were provided with medical care and assessed. Once conscious, they allegedly told authorities that Ruben N, a Technology and Informatics teacher, gave them candy during class.
In a statement, the FGE (State Attorney General) released a brief statement.
“The Quintana Roo State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) and Public Security Secretariat (SSC) arrested a man for alleged child corruption at school.
“The full force of the law will be applied against those who threaten the well-being of children and adolescents.

“The Quintana Roo State Attorney General’s Office (FGE Quintana Roo) reports the arrest of a male individual, identified as Rubén “N”, a secondary school teacher, for his alleged involvement in acts that could constitute the crime of child corruption in the municipality of Playa del Carmen.
“According to initial investigations, three teenagers exhibited symptoms of intoxication, prompting an immediate investigation to clarify the events.

“The State Attorney General’s Office reaffirms its commitment to acting firmly and with zero tolerance against any conduct that threatens the well-being of children and adolescents. In this case, the full force of the law will be applied against those responsible.”
