Fourth person dies in horrific machete attack inside Cancun home

Cancun, Q.R. — A fourth person has died following an armed attack inside a private Cancun home early Saturday afternoon. A group of people inside the house were the victims of an attack that involved guns and machetes.

Police were sent to a home in the Valle Verde neighborhood of Cancun Saturday where they found three dead and two injured people. The home belonged to a woman and her husband.

Among the deceased were friends of the couple who owned the home.

The three deceased were found bound inside the house prior to being killed, police said. A man and woman survived the brutal attack. They were transferred to hospital in critical condition with severe injuries to the face and neck.

Neighbors said the couple were normally quiet, however, they called police when they heard screaming coming from the home.

According to initial reports, an armed group stormed the house and attacked those inside. The assault was reportedly carried out using edged weapons. Inside the property, authorities found a long gun and a chainsaw that were taken into evidence.

The deceased include 40 year old Henry “N” and 23 year old Aarón Francisco “N”, both friends of the homeowners. The third person found dead inside the house has not been identified.

The fourth person to die has been identified as the husband of the woman who owns the home. He died early Sunday morning from a serious head injury from a machete blow.

The female homeowner, 42-year-old Saida Patricia “N”, is the sole survivor of the savage attack. She is still in hospital being treated for multiple stab wounds. Police have not provided a motive for the assault that killed four people.
