Maya Train adds additional timeslots to meet increased travel demand

Riviera Maya, Q.R. — Additional timeslots have been added to the Maya Train schedule to accommodate an increase in travel demand. The additional two time slots were officially added July 26 along the Cancun-Merida route.

“Due to the increasing purchase of tickets by national and international tourists, the Maya Train added two commercial services,” announced the Tren Maya General Director Óscar David Lozano Águila.

Since July 26, the Cancun-Merida route is available at 11:45 a.m. and Merida-Cancun at 2:40 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online or at the ticket offices of the Tren Maya stations, he said Monday.

During the Monday morning press conference with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, he pointed out that last weekend, the Maya Train achieved a record with more than 3,000 passengers on board.
