Tulum, Q.R. — Governor Mara Lezama reaffirms the state’s commitment to free beaches. From Tulum earlier this week, Governor Lezama announced completely free access to the beaches located within Jaguar National Park.
“Thank you President Sheinbaum for your unwavering support, for listening to us, for heeding the voice of the people of Tulum, for always addressing the demands of the people,” she said.
She emphasized that together with President Claudia Sheinbaum and the Government of Mexico, a comprehensive strategy was implemented for Tulum aimed at guaranteeing what has always belonged to the people: its beaches, free and for everyone.
The governor reaffirmed that access to Santa Fe, Pescadores, Maya and Mangle beaches are completely free for everyone every day of the year.

“We invite everyone – locals, nationals, and foreigners – to come in… walking, running or cycling, and enjoy it to the fullest,” said Lezama.
She added that people can spend a day with family or friends at the beach, entering through the southern access on Cobá Avenue or through the traditional access on the right side where the free access to the beaches is now signposted.
Mara Lezama emphasized that the restoration and guarantee of these access points responds to direct requests from the public.
“Tulum is for everyone, without discrimination,” she reiterated, inviting families to enjoy the beaches and care for them as community spaces for social interaction.

“They are welcome with their musical instruments, with their sports equipment, girls and boys with their toys. Of course we must take care of these unique beaches, which are for enjoying, for creating community, for feeding the soul,” she added.
Governor Mara Lezama announced that with the support of President Claudia Sheinbaum and the Mexican Air Force, Tulum will host the Tulum Air Show, an event within the Mexico Aerospace Fair.
More than 20,000 people are expected to attend this internationally renowned event.

“Tulum is an example of the results that can be achieved when governing by addressing the needs of the people,” Lezama stated, adding that with territorial planning, improvements in mobility, price verification and a strong investment in infrastructure and warm services, we will continue to move forward so that, as long as the sun keeps rising, Tulum will continue to shine.
