Cameras disabled: Tulum police investigating possible arson in clothing store fire

Tulum, Q.R. — A small clothing store was reduced to ash in the town of Tulum early Saturday. Emergency services were notified of the business fire just before 8:00 a.m. in the Maya neighborhood.

Tulum firefighters arrived on scene with the support of Municipal Civil Protection. The fire quickly made its way through the mom and pop clothing store, leaving firemen unable to do anything more than extinguish what little flames remained.

Neighbors on Sol Poniente Street made the report after seeing smoke coming out of the store. Firemen responded, fighting the fire for around half an hour before declaring it officially out.
