Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — An investigation into a third missing person continues after the recent finding of three bodies. On Friday, police were alerted to the discovery of three bodies off the Playa del Carmen highway near the municipal border of Puerto Morelos.

Two of the three men found were identified as Playa del Carmen taxi drivers reported missing July 17. They were still in uniform when their bodies were found dumped in a green area off the highway the following day.
Authorities have since reported that drug dealing has been their main line of investigation. They have also said that three people were reported missing between July 17 and 18. Those three men have been identified as Saúl “N”, Saddan Alexis “N” and David “N”.
Saúl “N” and Saddan Alexis “N” were found dead, while David “N” has not yet been located. Police have identified the third man found dead with Saúl “N” and Saddan Alexis “N” as Jesús “N”. According to police, there was no active missing persons report for Jesús “N”, however, all three were involved in drug sales in the tourist areas of Riviera Maya.
In a statement, the State Attorney General (FGE) said “during field investigations, a third body was located belonging to Jesús “N.” No missing person search warrant was issued for the body, but his identity has already been confirmed.
“According to information obtained during the investigation, Saúl “N” and Alexis “N” are believed to be linked to the sale and distribution of drugs in the tourist area of the Riviera Maya corridor, an activity that, according to initial investigations, could have led to their disappearance and subsequent homicide.

“The three were allegedly summoned to a meeting when their whereabouts became unknown. They were deprived of their freedom by members of a criminal group opposed to the one they belonged to. The bodies of the three people located have already been fully identified and returned to their families in accordance with legal protocols,” the FGE reported.

Police say they are continuing their search for David “N”, the third person reported missing.
