Chetumal, Q.R. — Zenith Aeronautics has announced a $24 million USD business unit project for the city of Chetumal. Their project includes deep maintenance and aircraft repair projects, as well as a cargo service centre.
On Thursday, Governor Mara Lezama made the announcement with Zenith Aeronautics. She reported that the project includes two high-impact business units in Chetumal which will be a Zenith MRO maintenance workshop and the Zenith Cargo Terminal.
Lezama said aside from creating hundreds of jobs, the project also promotes the use of renewable energy.
As part of this investment, Alberta Aviation Capital Corporation (AAC), a Canadian company dedicated to leasing aircraft and engines, providing flexible fleet solutions to airlines in North America and around the world, announced its participation in this strategic initiative.

“This investment confirms the enormous potential of the southern region and reaffirms that Chetumal is ready to become a strategic hub for the aerospace industry.
