Cancun, Q.R. — Governor Mara Lezama says the Nichupté Bridge has an overall progress completion of 90 percent. On Monday, the governor said “with the invaluable support of our President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, the most important mobility project in Cancun is progressing steadily.
According to Governor Lezama, the lagoon bridge key progress includes the Colosio Interchange which is 97.2% finished as well as the land Zone, which she reports at 98.1%.

She also said that top down zone is 98% and the red metal arch for the city’s new bridge is 94.4% installed. Work on the lagoon zone stands at 88.3% compelte while the Kukulcán Interchange is 72.6% finished.
With overall progress exceeding 90%, hundreds of foundation piles, columns, and bridge spans have been constructed, bringing this great project to life.
It will improve mobility and enhance safety in the face of emergencies and natural disasters. We invite everyone to take precautions, pay attention to the signage, and thank you for your patience and understanding.

As part of the connection work for the Nichupté Vehicular Bridge with Blvd. Kukulcán, we remind the public that starting November 9, 2025, the lane heading from Cancun to the Airport, from km 12+500 to km 13+500, was completely closed to carry out the connection work.
