Cancun, Q.R. — A Canadian man wanted by the Government of Canada for a variety of forgery offenses has been captured. Police said Wednesday that Maxine “N” was arrested while traveling a section of highway outside Cancun.
According to Quintana Roo authorities, Maxine “N” was wanted for forgery of credit-related documents as well as fraud and illegal access to computer systems. He remains in legal custody and is waiting extradition back to Canada.

In a statement, the SSC (Citizen Security Secretariat) said “Maxine “N”, a criminal target sought by the Government of Canada and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, has been arrested.
“The individual is implicated in the following offenses: forgery and misuse of bearer securities, public credit instruments, and credit-related documents, general document forgery, fraud, disclosure of secrets, and illicit access to computer systems and equipment.”
According to the SSC (Secretaría de Seguridad Ciudadana), “the arrest took place on the Tulum–Cancun stretch of the federal highway in the municipality of Benito Juárez (Cancun).
“This provisional arrest for extradition purposes was led by the International Police Affairs and Interpol Unit, with the participation of the Orion and Centurion Groups of the Secretariat of Citizen Security, in coordination with the Secretariat of the Navy and the Secretariat of National Defense.
“Maxine “N” has been placed at the disposal of the appropriate authorities for the continuation of legal proceedings.”
