Riviera Maya, Q.R. — The Undersecretariat of Command and Intelligence Centers began their on-site evaluation process. The evaluation is part of the ongoing evaluation for reaccreditation by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA).
CALEA, a credentialing authority based in the United States whose primary mission is to accredit public safety agencies, began their evaluation of the security complexes around Quintana Roo Monday.
During this process, compliance with the 210 standards that comprise the CALEA regulations will be reviewed. These standards are focused on strengthening operations, institutional efficiency and citizen service in the Communications Centers.
Participating in this session are evaluators Dr. Luis Ramírez Saldaña and Secretary Christian Manuel Ortiz Muñiz, the head of the Undersecretariat of Command and Intelligence Centers, Captain Marco Antonio Zamora Cázares, as well as all members of the Undersecretariat of Command and Intelligence Centers throughout the State.

As part of the agenda, there will be tours of the C5 facilities, interviews with operational and administrative staff, a review of emergency plans and citizen service procedures and an analysis of observable standards.
The agenda is aligned with the guidelines established by CALEA to improve critical incident preparedness, clarity in institutional directives, strengthening community relations and evidence-based decision-making.

CALEA accreditation represents a seal of professional excellence for public security agencies, establishing international standards specifically aimed at communications and command centers.
