Mexico City, Q.R. — Quintana Roo has signed a collaboration agreement for the processing of genetic samples. The agreement will assist Quintana Roo authorities in identifying missing persons.
On behalf of the Head of the State Attorney General’s Office, Raciel López Salazar, the Specialized Legal and Human Rights Prosecutor, Juan Pablo Moreno Gómez, participated in the signing of the collaboration agreement.
The agreement was signed Tuesday between the United Nations Population Fund in Mexico (UNFPA) and the Institute of Genomic Medicine (INMEGEN).
This agreement aims to establish a strategic collaboration for the processing of genetic samples, with the purpose of integrating the scientific experience and technology of INMEGEN with the objectives of the UNFPA Human Identification Program in Mexico.

Those participating in the signing of the agreement included Clemens Von Goetze, Ambassador of Germany to Mexico, Maia Campbell, Representative of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights and Shelby Demmerer, Human Rights Advisor.
The agreement also included Alex de Kerpel, Economic Affairs Advisor, José Alejandro Hernández Gutiérrez, Director General of the National Center for Human Identification, Cristian Paul Camacho Osnaya, Attorney General of Zacatecas and Óscar Tonatiuh Vásquez Landeros, Attorney General of the State of Tabasco.
