The Quintana Roo State Tourism Registry (Retur-Q), she explained, is a public platform where service providers in the Mexican Caribbean are registered.

“This year, through the Secretariat of Sustainable Tourism, we registered more than 129 tourism service providers from Puerto Morelos on the State Secretariat of Tourism (Sedetur) platform,” she said. “This figure represents a 126 percent increase compared to the 57 registered in 2024.”

The Mayor explained that the website contains general information about individuals and corporations offering tourism products or services. The information is aimed at tourists visiting the Mexican Caribbean and can be accessed by anyone.

She emphasized that this provides confidence and security to visitors, as the businesses registered on the platform have permits, proper documentation, trained staff and insurance against eventualities.

Raúl Guadarrama García, the Secretary of Sustainable Tourism, indicated that staff at registered establishments receive training and are given priority to participate in events organized by Sedetur.

He also noted that businesses on the website are georeferenced, so if a visitor searches for a gym or pharmacy in Puerto Morelos, all those registered in the Retur-Q appear, with images, location and specifications.
