Tulum, Q.R. — Mexicana de Aviación landed their new plane at the Tulum International Airport Friday. The company’s new E-195 E2 aircraft landed as a demonstration flight for its fuel efficiency and advanced technology.
The plane landed Friday on the runway of the private terminal Fixed Base Operator (FBO) within the Tulum International Airport. The demo flight is part of the preparations for the start of air activities of this new model in Mexico, which is scheduled for 2025.
Mexicana de Aviación’s new Embraer E-195 E2 arrived in Tulum with around 50 passengers on board, all of whom were Mexicana de Aviación employees.
The recently presented Embraer E-195 E2 aircraft is one of the latest generation aircraft acquired by Mexicana de Aviación. The aircraft has the capacity to transport 132 passengers, has a range of 4,615 kilometers and a cruising speed of 963 kilometers per hour.
The initial presentation of the new aircraft took place Friday morning at the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) outside Mexico City. In the afternoon, it made its first flight to Tulum where it landed at 5:20 p.m.
