Tulum, Q.R. — Mexicana de Aviación says they will fly to Tulum with its new aircraft starting August 25. As of August 25, the airline’s Embraer E2 will take off for Tulum for the first time from the (Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA).

The new E195-E2 jet, which will be used for the Tulum route, is known for its quiet operation, modern cabins and advanced aerodynamics. It is also known for its fuel efficiency, able to generate fuel savings of up to 30 percent.
The Mexican State Airline, Aerolínea del Estado Mexicano S.A. of C.V. (Mexicana de Aviación), is adding Tulum International to its route as part of a government strategy to consolidate air connectivity to the region.

The airline will offer a mid-morning departure, 10:00 a.m., from AIFA, landing at Tulum International 1 hour and 55 minutes later. Current prices for an August flight are just over 3,600 pesos.

The new Embraer E195-E2 aircraft has capacity for 132 passengers. In July, Mexicana de Aviación received the first of 20 new E195-E2 plans ordered. According to Mexican State Airlines General Director General Leobardo Ávila Bojórquez, of the remaining 19, four more will arrive in 2025, seven in 2026 and the remaining eight in 2027.
