Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — Residents in La Rancherita have a new road, sidewalk and streetlights after an area revamp. On Tuesday, Mayor Atenea Gómez Ricalde said more than 300 linear meters had been paved and 13 new lights installed.
“This work reflects the firm commitment of the administration to improve infrastructure, strengthen security and provide a better quality of life to the families of Ciudad Mujeres.
“The project covers more than 300 linear meters, including paving, new concrete sidewalks, curbs to delimit the roads and the installation of 13 LED street lights, which will improve the lighting and security of the area,” she reported regarding the Continental mainland area.
According to the Mayor, work is currently being carried out on Jesús Martínez Ross Avenue which has resulted in the partial closure of traffic. Gómez Ricalde says the work will take approximately two weeks and is all part of her administration’s commitment to improvement.

“We inform you that due to the rehabilitation project of the pedestrian crossing of Av. Jesús Martínez Ross at the height of Cendi, a partial closure of traffic will be carried out.
“The workwill last approximately two weeks, so we ask for your understanding, since the inconveniences will be temporary, but the benefits will be permanent,” she said.
The City Council of Isla Mujeres, headed by Atenea Gómez Ricalde, reaffirms its commitment to well-being and social justice, by delivering paved streets, curbs, sidewalks and Led lighting in the La Rancherita neighborhood, in the Continental Zone.
