Cancun, Q.R. — A mobility interconnectivity study is being done in Cancun to determine Maya Train stations and placements. The Quintana Roo Mobility Institute (Imoveqroo), through a consultant, began the interconnectivity studies to allow adequate connectivity of the Maya Train stations with the urban and tourist areas of the city.
Rodrigo Alcázar Urrutia, the General Director of Imoveqroo, said the study has already begun to determine where stations will be needed to ensure adequate mobility and land connection for train passengers.
It is estimated that the consultant will have the results of the public transport studies between October and November. The state official mentioned that although the studies began in Cancun, the objective is for them to be carried out in the other municipalities through which the Maya Train will pass.
The additional future studies will be in relation to stations so that in later stages, they can also cover Puerto Morelos, Solidaridad, Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Bacalar, Mahahual and Chetumal.
