FGE reports more than 5,600 Cancun kids lectured on crime and addiction

Cancun, Q.R. — More than 5,600 Cancun students have been lectured on crime and addictions by Cancun police officers. The head of the State Attorney General’s Office, Raciel López Salazar, led a recent evaluation and monitoring work meeting.

The 5,600 city students were taught through the “Prevention through Education” Program. López Salazar highlighted the importance of inter-institutional work to carry out actions in favor of the children of Quintana Roo in relation to the prevention of addictions and criminal behavior.

“In this first phase of the program. We have offered informative talks in secondary schools where more than 5,600 students have participated to date, in addition to 285 adult teaching, administrative and custodial staff from the schools visited where we have had a very good response.

That response, he said, “encourages us to extend these actions to more schools, covering the largest number of young people.”

Cancun Mayor Ana Paty Peralta pointed out that all efforts that can be made for children should be a priority while highlighting the work of all participants in the “Prevention through Education” program.
