Riviera Maya, Q.R. — All 11 municipalities of Quintana Roo will be promoted at the upcoming Tourism Fair in Madrid. Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa says she has developed an intense agenda that includes the promotion and dissemination of tourism activity across the state.
The Mexican Caribbean kiosk will be installed in the Mexico pavilion, the largest of the Latin American countries, with an area of 1,111 square meters. The pavilion will include space for promotion, dissemination and activities for business wholesalers and tour operators of large tourist chains.
An essential part of the activities is the projection of the new tourism development plans including the Maya Train, improvement of archaeological zones and state infrastructure.
In this annual event, all tourist destinations in Quintana Roo will be promoted, she said, adding that the Spanish market is the sixth most important for Quintana Roo.
The Tourism Fair in Madrid takes place January 18 to 22 and brings together more than 8,360 exhibitors including companies, destinations, tour operators, hotels and airlines for its 43rd edition.
It is the global meeting point for more than 82,000 tourism professionals and, during the weekend, more than 30,000 attendees from the general public.
