Cancun, Q.R. — Cancun Mayor Ana Paty Peralta announces a 218 million peso repaving project for Kabah Avenue. The avenue is one of Cancun’s main arteries and is in need of repair.

Mayor Peralta says it is one of the most significant investments in urban infrastructure for 2025. The comprehensive renovation of Kabah Avenue, one of the main arteries connecting the heart of the city, will include a historic investment of more than 218 million pesos.
The money, she said, has been approved by the Environmental Sanitation Committee and includes the laying of new asphalt along 6.7 kilometers. The repaving will be done from Nichupté Avenue to Tules Avenue benefiting nearly one million Cancun residents who use the avenue.
She explained that the project will be divided into two sections. The first stretches 4.8 kilometers from Nichupté Avenue to Niños Héroes Avenue and will involve on-site asphalt pavement recycling using hot air. The second stretches 1.9 kilometers from Niños Héroes Avenue to Tules Avenue where the asphalt will be completely rebuilt.

Peralta says the repaving project is part of the transformation of Cancun that truly impact the daily lives of families. The renovation of Kabah Avenue not only modernizes the road infrastructure, but also creates a more orderly Canun, improves safety, reduces travel times and contributes to environmental protection.
