Cancun, Q.R. — Cancun firemen were part of the rescue team in an accident that left at least five people injured. Two vehicles crashed around 11:00 p.m. on a section of highway just outside the city of Cancun.
According to reports, five people were injured in the Saturday night crash that took place near the Maya Train station between a tourist transport van and private car.
Cancun firemen worked to free at least one of the passenger left trapped inside a vehicle.
The injured were taken to different hospitals around Cancun while both drivers were arrested.
The accident caused traffic congestion in the area for more than an hour while authorities had the vehicles towed.
