Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Police are looking for a vehicle believed involved in a fatal highway accident that left one driver dead. On Monday, the male driver of a motorcycle was found dead in highway brush near his bike.
Police are investigating if the motorcycle was hit by another vehicle or if the driver lost control of his bike and crashed.
Initial investigations indicate that the motorcycle was hit by another vehicle as it traveled the highway north of the city of Playa del Carmen.
The deceased driver has been identified as Yussel “M”, around 30 years of age. He lived in Playa del Carmen and worked at a Riviera Maya theme park.
The area was secured by National Guard Highways who marked off the perimeter and partially closed a lane to manage traffic while police investigated.
