Cancun, Q.R. — Seven people accused of running a pot op in Cancun have been ordered to remain jailed. Police said Thursday that Víctor Teodoro “N”, Jaime “N”, Johani “N”, Uziel “N”, José Luis “N”, Alexander “N” and Diego Alberto “N” have been charged.
Five people in the group have been charged with drug trafficking while two others have been charged with supplying.
The State Attorney General (FGE) said Thursday that Victor Teodoro “N”, alias “Tata”, and Jaime “N” have been charged with supplying marijuana.
According to police, all seven are accused of coordinating marijuana distribution in Cancun and Playa del Carmen.
Police made the arrests after locating a marijuana greenhouse. They have said that Víctor Teodoro “N” owned the pot op and hired the others to package and distribute.
“Víctor Teodoro “N” owned greenhouses used for cultivating the drug,” they said.
“The investigations also establish that the other individuals involved worked with Víctor Teodoro “N” from whom they received instructions to package marijuana in greenhouses, among other activities,” police added in their report.
All seven have been ordered to remain jailed during their trials.
