Witnesses told police that they watched as four men lit the parked car on fire. Emergency services were sent to the 7th Avenue North and 18th Street address where they confirmed a burning vehicle. A Volkswagen Pointer with Nuevo León license plates was found fully engulfed.

When firemen were finishing extinguishing flames, they located a charred body inside. The body of a male was found in the back seat of the car with his hands and feet bound by cable.

Forensic personnel arrived in response to the discovery of the deceased man. Ministerial Police sectioned off the area while the body and car were removed.

According to early information, the deceased man had just parked his car when he was overtaken by four men on two motorcycles who were waiting for him. It is not known if the man found inside the car was alive at the time of the fire.

Police are using city surveillance to determine what happened and identify those responsible. Early reports say city cameras have captured a clear photo of at least one person involved.
