Cancun, Q.R. — Local Mexican agencies working together were able to track down a wanted person for child pornography. State authorities say they have taken Alejandro Esteban “N” into custody from a Cancun residence.
As part of the actions to combat child trafficking in the state, the State Attorney General’s Office, in coordination with National Guard, the United States Homeland Security Investigations Attaché in Mexico and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, located and arrested Alejandro Esteban “N”.
He was wanted “for his probable participation in acts constituting the crime of human trafficking in the form of child prostitution,” police said.
He was picked up Thursday on an arrest warrant executed by Investigative Police following technical investigations. Police reported that Alejandro Esteban “N” was located at a residence on Paseo del Arce and 6th Street in SM 247 in Cancun.
In their statement, police said “through digital platforms and using five email addresses, the suspect created, transmitted and stored 591 files containing pornographic material, mostly images of girls, boys and adolescents.
“Following due diligence, Alejandro Esteban “N” was handed over to the requesting authority along with the seized evidence which will be incorporated into the investigation opened for the aforementioned crime.

“Within the constitutionally established timeframe, the legal status of the suspect will be determined, and he could face a sentence of up to 30 years in prison.”
