Mahahual, Q.R. — Bus company ADO has added a new option that connects Merida with Mahahual. Starting May 28, ADO will offer the new Mahahual bus route from Merida with two stops along the way.
Beatriz Alamilla Cruz, the Director of Tourism Development for Othón P. Blanco, said that this new route represents an important opportunity to continue promoting tourism in Mahahual and expanding mobility options for tourists interested in exploring the destination’s attractions.

She said the new route is an action that will strengthen tourist connectivity and facilitate the arrival of visitors to the main beach destination in southern Quintana Roo.
ADO’s commercial manager, Alinberht Gamboa Hernández, confirmed the new route, which will operate four days a week.
According to Gamboa Hernández, the bus will depart from Merida with stops in Valladolid and Tulum along the way.
“The route will operate on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, departing from Merida at 8:30 a.m. with stops in Valladolid and Tulum before arriving in Mahahual.
“The return trip will depart from Mahahual at 5:30 p.m., passing through Tulum and Valladolid before arriving back in Merida,” she explained.
Gamboa Hernández says tickets can purchased ahead of time through the ADO Móvil app and on the official ADO website.

The new route, she added, will strengthen the flow of visitors to the south of the state and continue to position Mahahual as one of the most attractive tourist destinations in the Mexican Caribbean.
