Cancun, Q.R. — The Secretariat of Sustainable Urban Territorial Development (Sedetus) says they have detected more illegal real estate land sales. The latest list of illegal sellers are in and around the city of Cancun.

The illegal sellers, according to Sedetus (Secretaría de Desarrollo Territorial Urbano Sustentable), are selling unlicensed developments. In coordination with the Benito Juárez City Council, Sedetus issued a notice, warning the public about the developments that lack state and/or municipal certifications, permits, or authorizations.
The state agency reported that these projects violate the Human Settlements, Territorial Planning and Urban Development Law as well as the Urban Action Law, the Condominium Property Law, State Urban Development Program and the corresponding municipal regulations.
Among the developments that allegedly do not have authorization are Maraya Privada Residencial, Cedrela, Coco Groove, Lotes Vía Marina, Güaraná, Punta Pitahaya, Bosques de Cancún, Stella Maris, Mayorales, Frey, Barcelona and Azaahy I and II.

In a statement, Sedetus says the public is urged not to purchase, sell, rent, or promise to buy or sell these developments as this would contribute to potential crimes against urban development and put their property at risk.
