Nezahualcóyotl, State of Mexico — A man wanted for the murder of two Peruvian police officers was finally captured in Mexico. The National Migration Institute (INM) and Interpol were part of the operation that lead to his Wednesday arrest.
Authorities located fugitive Adolfo “N” at a home in the Las Maravillas neighborhood in the municipality of Nezahualcóyotl. He had been on the run since 2016.
According to authorities, “he fled Peru in March 2016 after being implicated in the murder of two non-commissioned officers of that country’s National Police.
“In 2016, the Peruvian National Police arrested several individuals involved in the aforementioned incidents, however, Adolfo “N” fled to Mexico.”
He has had an outstanding arrest warrant in Peru and a Red Notice issued by Interpol since. He was finally captured from a home in the State of Mexico and is currently waiting deportation back to Peru.
Authorities said he was located and arrested in an operation led by members of the Navy (Semar) in coordination with the Ministry of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), the Ministry of National Defense (Defense), the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), National Guard (GN), the National Migration Institute (INM) and Interpol.

Likewise, Navy personnel provided security support to SSPC personnel during the transfer of the detainee to the INM facilities of Mexico City. “The Security Cabinet institutions reaffirm their commitment to collaborate with international authorities to stop perpetrators of violence,” they said.
