Mexico City, Mexico — Two men have been returned to the state of Texas to face charges in separate incidences. Both men were extradited from Mexico and escorted back to the U.S. by federal agents from the Mexico City International Airport.
According to the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR), José “M” was extradited to face murder charges that date back to 1996. The FGR says José “M” was wanted in Ector County, Texas for the murder of his wife.
“In February 1996, José “M” caused multiple stab wounds and blunt force trauma to his wife’s head, which caused her death for which he was required by the 244th Judicial District Court of Ector County, Texas, for the crime of first-degree murder,” they reported.
José “M” was arrested in July 2023, in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua and held by Mexican officials since then for extradition purposes.
The FGR also returned Alberto “C” to the U.S. where he was was wanted by the 235th Judicial District Court of Cooke County, Texas, for the crime of continuous sexual abuse of a minor committed between 2014 and 2017.
Alberto “C”, was taken into Mexican police custody in August of 2024, in San Sebastián Zinacatepec, Puebla. Subsequently the Government of Mexico granted the extradition to the Government of the United States.
Both men were handed over to U.S. agents in compliance with the Extradition Treaty signed between Mexico and the United States.
