Mexico City, Mexico — Mexican national Pablo “P” has been charged with a human trafficking incident that happened in San Antonio, Texas. The Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) says Pablo “P” was charged “for his alleged responsibility in organized crime with the purpose of committing human trafficking.”
Pablo “P” has been linked to a group of people trafficking migrants across the Mexico-U.S. border. In this particular case, 53 migrants were found dead in the back of a semi in San Antonio, Texas on June 27, 2022.
The dead included 26 Mexicans, 14 Hondurans and seven Guatemalans who were being transported in high temperatures without ventilation.
In their statement, the FGR reported that earlier this week, “the Federal Ministerial Police (PFM) executed an arrest warrant against Pablo “P” in Miguel Alemán, Tamaulipas, for his alleged relationship with the migrants who died inside an abandoned trailer in San Antonio, Texas, on June 27, 2022.”
A total of six people have been charged so far in the 2022 incident. On June 27, 2022, 85 migrants were found crammed in the bed of a semi trailer on a highway in San Antonio, Texas. The dead included women and children. To date, Melesio “B”, Hermelindo “B”, Adrián “B”, Yoana “N”, Sheyla “B” and Jessica “P” have been charged human trafficking related to the 2022 incident.
