Government of Quintana Roo unveils new online real estate system

Riviera Maya, Q.R. — The Government of Quintana Roo has opened a new online real estate system. Governor Mara Lezama says the new system modernizes the Public Registry with a digital, agile and accessible website of over one million listed properties.

According to Governor Lezama, the New Quintana Roo Real Estate System (SIQROO) modernizes the reception, processing and resolution of applications, ensuring transparency.

Additionally, three web portals are offered. They are the Citizen Portal, the Notary Portal and the Authorities Portal. These portals allow online access from any device with internet access and are designed to meet the specific needs of each sector.

“From the beginning of this different administration we were very clear that it was time to digitize the Public Property Registry,” said Mara Lezama.

During the presentation of the System, Mariann González Pliego Castillo, the Director of the Public Registry of Property and Commerce, explained that the Citizen Portal facilitates the consultation and monitoring of registry procedures in a simple and accessible manner.

She says the Notary Portal is designed to carry out procedures while reducing operating times and costs, while the Authorities Portal strengthens institutional coordination by enabling the secure exchange of information between agencies.

She said that this way, services are brought closer to citizens from anywhere in the country, where people can now complete procedures at the Public Registry. “We listened to the citizens, notaries public and organizations that joined this modernization project,” she said.

Before notaries, representatives of organizations, real estate advisors and citizens, Governor Mara Lezama stated that “after more than two decades, we are leaving behind a registry model that became insufficient and are now giving way to a modern, digital, agile, and accessible platform.

“With this innovation, we are eliminating cumbersome procedures, avoiding unnecessary delays, and reducing waiting times.”

Lezama added that this new system provides peace of mind to those buying their first home, security to those investing and support to those who want to build their future here.

For the first time in history, high-level technological tools are incorporated: advanced electronic signatures, digital seals, and QR codes that ensure the authenticity of each document.

The Governor announced that more than one million real estate properties are being centralized in a single database and that the history of more than three million records is being migrated.

She also assured that the system does not operate in isolation, but connects with other institutions such as the State Tax Administration System, CENAM and the National Population Registry, which speeds up data validation and strengthens the accuracy of each process.

“This step is part of the New Agreement for the Well-being and Development of Quintana Roo. An agreement that reflects what we have said from the beginning, in this new way of governing to narrow inequality gaps and achieve social justice. We don’t work for a few, we work for everyone,” Mara Lezama said.

Cynthia Dehesa Guzmán, the Director of Citizens for Transparency, recognized the work done to modernize the Public Property Registry and thanked Governor Mara Lezama for her support in working toward transparency, efficiency and digitizing the Public Registry.

Elmer Arturo Paredes Quintana, president of the Council of Notaries of the State of Quintana Roo, stated that today marks a turning point in access to registry systems, eliminating intermediaries, reducing costs, eliminating corruption and strengthening fraud prevention.
