Cancun, Q.R. — A junction to connect the Tren Maya station in Cancun with the federal highway is nearly complete. Governor Mara Lezama toured the project Sunday.
She reported that the construction of the junction of the Cancun station of the Maya Train with federal highway 180-D is 92 percent finished. She says details of landscaping, lighting, signage and curbs remain.
She also said that now roads are now completely passable so vehicles coming from Colosio Avenue, the Cancun Hotel Zone or the federal 307 highway can now access the train station directly.
Those coming from the Mérida highway or Huayacán Avenue will be able to travel over the bridge.
Mara Lezama toured the construction area, where she announced that the terminals of the Cancun International Airport will soon be interconnected by electric vehicles with the Train station, using this connection, which is vital for station access.
“This new infrastructure corresponds to the world-class quality of Cancun and the tourist destinations of Quintana Roo, strengthening our competitiveness, being a trigger for development for the state and the others through which the Maya Train passes,” said the Governor.
