Aeromar pilots and flight attendants protest at AICM for nearly 100 million in unpaid wages

Mexico City, Mexico — Pilots and flight attendants of Aeromar demonstrated at Terminal 2 of the AICM to demand the payment of wages. On Monday, Aeromar workers protested outside the Mexico City International Airport.

Those protesting claimed non-payment of wages, which, according to the Trade Union Association of Aviator Pilots of Mexico, (ASPA), amounts to almost 100 million pesos.

“The pilots have sought negotiations, even extending the strike five times, however, Zvi Katz refuses to keep the word he pledges in every negotiation. Aeromar and ASPA pilots are no longer willing to give any more concessions to this businessman who has only stolen from his workers.

“We demand the full payment of salaries and retribution of the pending debt,” said Humberto Gual Ángeles, Secretary General of the Trade Union Association of Aviator Pilots of Mexico, (ASPA) in a statement.

The general secretary of the Union Association of Flight Attendants of Mexico (ASSA), Ricardo del Valle, reported through Twitter the worker’s support they are providing the workers due to the labor debts.

Pilots and flight attendants began their march at 8:00 a.m. at Terminal 2 of the AICM to demand that the airline pay their salaries and other benefits.
