Cancun, Q.R. — Another group of professional real estate agents have been certified in Cancun. On Thursday, 27 newly certified agents were presented with their official state real estate license.

The licenses were presented by José Alberto Alonso Ovando, the head of the Secretariat of Sustainable Urban Territorial Development (Sedetus), who says the goal is to strengthen legal certainty and professionalization in the real estate sector.
During the Thursday ceremony, a total of 27 real estate licenses were awarded to professionals in the Cancun field, reaffirming the State Government’s commitment to the regulation and professionalization of the sector.
Alonso Ovando says this displays the importance of ongoing training and compliance with the Quintana Roo Real Estate Services Provision Law, a law that establishes that advisors must demonstrate training to practice with transparency and legality.
This law is also established in the Development of Quintana Roo, promoted by Governor Mara Lezama. The issuance of licenses represents a significant step in the consolidation of a more reliable and professional real estate market in Quintana Roo, he said.

The Secretaría de Desarrollo Territorial Urbano Sustentable (Sedetus) head says the training reaffirms their commitment to working with real estate professionals to ensure the growth of the sector under the highest standards of quality and legality, benefiting investors, buyers and the public.
In Quintana Roo there are around 960 accredited / licensed real estate agents according to the State Registry of Real Estate Agents. The State Registry of Real Estate Agents is managed by the Quintana Roo State Government and is the official source for the number of licensed real estate agents in the state.
