State registers 2,700 certified real estate agents throughout Cancun and Riviera Maya

Riviera Maya, Q.R. — The state of Quintana Roo has officially registered 2,700 real estate agents. The latest figures were updated Friday with the certification of another 53 trained advisors.

José Alberto Alonso Ovando, the head of the Secretariat of Sustainable Urban Territorial Development led the Friday ceremony. The delivery of the state’s latest 53 licenses were also presented by the Undersecretary of Territorial Administration, David Tapia and the Director of Real Estate Affairs, Gabriela Peña.

“With this delivery, Quintana Roo reaches a registry of 2,700 duly registered real estate advisors, which provides greater legal certainty to buyers and contributes to a more orderly and transparent real estate market,” Alonso Ovando noted.

During 2025, the Secretariat of Sustainable Urban Territorial Development has delivered 1,345 real estate registrations, reflecting the commitment of the State Government to the regulation of the sector and to responsible territorial development.

Authorities emphasized that these actions are in accordance with the public policy promoted by Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa, through the New Agreement for the Well-being and Development of Quintana Roo, which prioritizes legality, transparency and social justice.

The Secretariat of Sustainable Urban Territorial Developmentreaffirms its commitment to continue strengthening the professionalization of the real estate sector, guaranteeing legal certainty and confidence for Quintana Roo families.
