Police presence increased in Puerto Aventuras to deter crime

Puerto Aventuras, Q.R. — The increased police presence continues for the municipality of Solidaridad with additional officers hitting the streets of Puerto Aventuras.

The increased police presence was ordered by Martín Estrada Sánchez of Seguridad Pública y Tránsito, which he says, reinforces the police and patrol presence in the area. Military police also continue to carry out foot patrol surveillance operations to increase their physical presence and discourage crime.

The goal of the security strategy is to maintain the tranquility of the municipality and to better serve the public and strengthen security in the community.

Earlier this year, Estrada Sánchez and Roberto Bravo Peña of the Dirección de Tránsito met with Puerto Aventuras delegate Tomás Flores Benítez to work on strengthening their operational coordination.

“The instruction of municipal president Laura Beristain is to have local police close to citizens. In Puerto Aventuras, we have a permanent presence, however, it is important to strengthen surveillance and prevention with the number of elements,” said the commander.
