Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Q.R. — A woman was pronounced dead on scene after a vehicle accident along a section of the Felipe Carrillo Puerto highway. The Saturday morning accident also left two injured.
According to preliminary information, the accident happened after one of the car’s tires burst. The driver was able to pull the car over without incident, despite traveling at highway speed.
However, during the mishap, the front seat passenger, an adult woman, was ejected from the car when, for unknown reasons, her door opened. She was found dead in the green area outside the vehicle. The driver of the car and one child from inside were treated for minor injuries.
