Tulum, Q.R. — Police are continuing an investigation after the discovery of a body Friday. The body of a man was found wrapped in blankets on a dirt road of Kukulkan Avenue.
The finding was made around 7:30 a.m. near Aldea Zamá area. The caller reported the body was that of a man with his hands tied. They also indicated that while passing by the area, some construction workers were also nearby, but did not provide further details and subsequently cut off the call.
Members of State Unit 12356 arrived at the scene as first responders, confirming the discovery. Medical personnel from Unit 006 also confirmed that the individual, a male, no longer showed vital signs.
The area was cordoned off for personnel from the State Attorney General’s Office to investigate. The victim has not yet been identified.
