Puerto Aventuras, Q.R. — A highway rollover outside Puerto Aventuras left a car with substantial damage after blowing a rear tire. The accident was reported when the private vehicle blew a rear tire while traveling along the highway.
The Saturday afternoon accident was reported to police around 4:20 p.m. after other motorists witnessed the car roll three times before landing right-side-up. Police arrived to find the car facing the opposite direction with only a partial band of rubber attached to the driver’s side rear tire.
The driver of the car was not injured. Elements of the National Guard flagged traffic until a tow truck arrived to remove the vehicle. The male driver told authorities that the car was not his own, but was loaned to him to help with his move.
