PDC gang members facing weapons and drug dealing charges

Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Three criminal gang members facing weapons and drug charges have been taken into custody in Playa del Carmen. The arrests of Francisco Javier “N”, Brandon “N”, and María Esther “N” were made in coordination with the Playa del Carmen Citizen Security Secretariat.

According to police “the arrests were made in flagrante delicto on Tulum Street, between Bakhalal and Hunab Ku Avenue, in the Cataluña neighborhood where officers observed the three people handling small bags of dried, green grass that resembled marijuana.

“During the routine inspection, they seized a long gun loaded with live cartridges, metal magazines each containing live cartridges, a tactical vest, as well as dried green plants resembling marijuana and fragments of a crystalline substance resembling methamphetamine.”

All three were taken into custody and are facing drug dealing and weapons charges. Police said all three have been linked to a PDC criminal group.
