Cancun, Riviera Maya maintaining occupancy rates

Cancun, Riviera Maya, Q..R. — Destinations in the northern region of the state are maintaining their occupancy rates, reports the Hotel Association who says that Cancun has maintained an occupancy rate of 27.3 percent.

The Hotel Association of Cancun, Puerto Morelos and Isla Mujeres reports occupancy rates in Puerto Morelos and Isla Mujeres continue to maintain a 22 and 19.6 percent rate, adding that 44 hotels totaling more than 10,000 rooms, continue to stay closed.

Cancun International managing airport company Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste (Asur) reports 184 flights Wednesday, of which 55 were national and 35 international along with 94 departures, of which 57 were domestic and 37 to international destinations. ASUR says the international flights included Atlanta, Baltimore, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Philadelphia, Fort Lauderdale, Grand Cayman, Houston, Havana, Los Angeles, Miami and New York.
