Tulum. Q.R. — A Tulum man who was shot almost two months ago trying to resist a robbery has died. Raúl N, a former legal advisor for the state government, died in a Chetumal hospital Friday. He was hit in the head by a bullet during a robbery in Tulum July 22.
Raúl N was targeted after leaving a bank with a large sum of cash. While walking toward a company, he was approached by two men on a motorcycle who were after the cash.
While trying to avoid being robbed, he was shot in the head. The former lawyer was rushed to a Chetumal hospital where he had been recovering. According to reports, he succumbed to an infection that developed while in hospital.
