Three cars collide when driver fails to see Felipe Carrillo Puerto highway flagger

Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Q. R. — A driver who failed to notice a highway flagger is said responsible for a three car crash. The vehicles became entangled on a section of federal highway in Felipe Carrillo Puerto Saturday night.

The driver of a car reportedly failed to see a Maya Train highway flagger, causing him to rear-end a car that was pushed into the vehicle ahead. National Guard Highways were at the scene to sort the vehicles out.

Ambulances arrived even though there were no injuries reported. All three vehicles were heading toward the town of Felipe Carrillo Puerto at the time of the accident. All three cars involved were heavily damaged.

Tow trucks responding to the report of the accident created traffic congestion while separating the vehicles and removing them from the highway. Traffic was hampered for several hours.
