Riviera Maya, Q.R. — The state of Quintana Roo will remain in a green epidemiological light, but will regress back to the first stage. Governor Carlos Joaquin says that due to an increase in covid-19 infections, the entire state will go back to a first stage of green, regressing from the second stage the state had achieved the week before.
Joaquin says starting Monday, the state will go from phase two of the green light back to phase one, which will mean a lower occupancy rate for businesses. He said the move was made after the state recorded an increase in the infection rate from 0.7 to 0.9 percent.
“It is important to continue taking care of ourselves to maintain the recovery of the economy in the state,” he said stressing the importance of continuing to maintain health protocols.
