Security guard alleged to have made off with 11 million in cash from own armored vehicle

Mexico City, Mexico — A custodian is alleged to have stolen 11 million peso from inside his own armored security vehicle. While colleagues were inside a gas station collecting money, the man made off with the truck and its collected contents of 11 million in cash.

Investigative Police deployed a special group to locate the Grumer company security transfer truck, which was eventually located in the Lindavista neighborhood of Mexico City, however, the driver and cash were gone.

The armored truck arrived at the gas station around 4:00 p.m. The driver was supposedly going to park the unit while the other guards went inside the gas station to collect money, however, when they returned, neither the truck or driver were there.
