More than 30 million committed to road work in Felipe Carrillo Puerto

Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Q.R. — Governor Mara Lezama has signed a Solidarity Agreement with the City Council for outstanding infrastructure projects in the municipality.

Governor Lezama Espinosa announced an investment of more than 30 million pesos in paving and patching in the municipality of Felipe Carrillo Puerto. The agreement was signed between Mara Lezama and Mayor Maricarmen Hernández Solís.

In their agreement, the state government will allocate resources to rehabilitate 2.6 kilometers of streets in Tihosuco for the benefit of more than 5,200 people as well as a patching program in the municipal capital with an investment of 3 million pesos. That 3 million will rehabilitate 4,209 square meters of roads.

“The surrounding streets will be intervened and paved by the Felipe Carrillo Puerto City Council. Working together, we make it clear that when corruption is fought, there is enough money for more projects. We are listening to your requests and we are working 24/7 to narrow the inequality gaps,” she said.

Mayor Maricarmen Hernández said the money will be used to repair roads in 13 neighborhoods in Felipe Carrillo Puerto.
